We have introduced Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) for our patients, providing an easy way to order repeat prescriptions that will also help to reduce the £2.7 million wasted on unused medication in Wiltshire each year. You can call and request your prescription from the comfort of your own home, removing the need to go in to your GP Surgery or Pharmacy. Call 0300 123 6242 to speak to the POD, they're open weekdays, 09:00 to 17:00. Requests can still be made via online services.
OTC Medicine - June 2018
NHS England has published new prescribing guidance which covers 35 minor, short-term health conditions, which are either ‘self-limiting’ or suitable for ‘self-care’. For the minor, short-term conditions identified below, medicines which are available over the counter (OTC) will no longer be prescribed on the NHS.
Bratton Surgery Dispensary
The dispensary service at Bratton allows us to dispense prescription items on site to any registered patients that live in Bratton, Erlestoke, Edington and Coulston. Read more NHS prescription charges here.
Our results clerks are not clinically trained but they can give you basic information relating to your test results. Should you require in-depth information, the results team will advise you to book a telephone appointment with a doctor, if your result is not of an urgent nature, this will be a routine telephone appointment. The clinician who asked you to complete a test will tell you whether you need a further appointment after or whether you should just contact us for the results.
You can get your results by phone between 08:30 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:30 on weekdays. You are also able to request your results by email. To do this, please send an email with your name, date of birth, address and specify the test result you want to firstname.lastname@example.org. The team will be able to tell you if any further action is required. Should this be necessary, you will be advised to make an appointment to discuss the result with your doctor.
Please ensure that samples are handed to reception by 11:00. Sample pots can be attained from reception. Urine and stool samples will only be accepted by our Reception Team if they have been requested by a Clinician. The Reception Team will accept urine samples from pregnant women and children. If you think you may have a urine infection (UTI) the Receptionist will take your details and you will be added to the Duty Telephone list. If you are acutely unwell with fever, back pain and nausea, inform the receptionist and they will discuss with the Urgent Care Team.
