Prescriptions

Pills imageThe surgery runs a computerised repeat prescription system. Once your doctor has agreed that you can have your medication on a repeat prescription, you will usually have a repeat request slip given to you when you pick up your prescription from the chemist or surgery.

If you have a repeat request slip and you require more medication just put a tick next to the items you require and circle where you would like to collect your prescription from.

How to Order Repeat Prescriptions

You can order repeat prescriptions in four ways:

In Person
Tick off the medication you require on your repeat prescription list and drop it in to the collection box on the reception desk of your surgery. If your surgery is closed, you can put it in the posting box at the front of your surgery. These boxes are emptied on a daily basis.

By Post
Please address the envelope to Prescriptions at your surgery. Please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope if you wish the prescription to be sent back to you. Alternatively, you may tell us in writing which local pharmacy you would like your prescription form to be sent to.

By Fax
Our fax numbers are shown on the right. Please mark the fax For Attention of Prescriptions.

Online

You may now request repeat prescriptions online.

Bratton Surgery Dispensary

We are proud to have a dispensary at our Bratton Surgery. The service allows us to dispense prescription items on-site, to any registered patients that live in the localities of Bratton, Erlestoke, Edington and Coultson.

What If I Don't Have The Repeat Slip?

If you don't receive a repeat request slip, don't worry, just jot down on a slip of paper the following details:

  • Full name
  • Address
  • Registered doctor
  • Name(s) of medication required
  • Pharmacy you wish the prescription to be sent to

and the request will be dealt with in exactly the same way. Alternatively you could fill in a blank repeat prescription form, which are available from your surgery.

Please remember to indicate which chemist you would like your request to go to as otherwise we will keep the signed prescription at your surgery to await your collection and to keep it safe.

In all cases, the prescription will be ready for collection two working days later, longer if ordering by post.
